1919 Cincinnati Reds World Series Champions Exhibit
Now open through opening day 2019
This new exhibit features authenticated baseball cards, autographs, postcards and souvenir books from the 1919 Championship Reds. The exhibit also includes memorabilia commemorating the notorious "Black Sox" betting scandal that rocked baseball and led to eight White Sox players being banned from baseball for life.
New Tax Law Goes Into Effect July 1
Effective July 1, a new tax reform package passed by the Kentucky state legislature requires that BCM, like other non-profit organizations, apply a 6% sales tax to museum admissions, event tickets, memberships, gift shop purchases and other sales.
The good news is that educational programs, such as our Tot Tuesdays!, Brown Bag lunches, Chippie's Sensational Science Labs, and of course, our school programming, are not taxable.
We appreciate your understanding and continued support. If you have questions about this legislative issue, please do not hesitate to contact your Kentucky legislative representative.
Mrs. White's Kindergarten
NOW ON EXHIBIT
When Kentucky suspended the public kindergarten system in 1959, Betty White bridged the educational gap, teaching 450 children in her Fort Wright home over a span of 19 years.
