How do I reserve a space at the Behringer-Crawford Museum?

If requested, Behringer-Crawford Museum will tentatively hold the date of your event, as we understand the importance of choosing a venue.  If we don’t hear from you within 2 weeks, we will open the date back up for rental.  If within that 2 week period, we have a client interested in booking that same date, you will receive a call offering you first right of refusal.

Does Behringer-Crawford Museum require a deposit upon booking an event?

Upon choosing a date at the Behringer-Crawford Museum for your event, we will send you a contract that must be signed and returned with a deposit for half of the rental rate.  This deposit is non-refundable.  We also require a separate check written in the amount of $150 to be held as a Security Deposit that will be returned to you at the completion of your event should there be any clean-up or repairs beyond normal event situations.  The balance of the rental deposit is due at least 1 month prior to your event.

Does Behringer-Crawford Museum offer discounts?

All members of Behringer-Crawford Museum are offered 10% off the price of their rental.

May I select my own caterer?

Behringer-Crawford Museum has a list of well-known and professional caterers that are exclusive to our venue.  We are certain that among these three select caterers you will be able to find the dining experience you are seeking for your event.

Are there any decorating restrictions?

The Behringer-Crawford Museum does have decorating restrictions.

  • No decorations can be hung on art work, artifacts or display cases and all decorations must be approved prior to use.
  • No open flame is allowed in any of the galleries at any time.  Tealight & votive candles may be used on the Veranda, on tables only and must be in an approved holder at least 1 inch higher than the flame.
  • Candles in approved holders may be used on outside tables and luminaries may be used on the outside Amphitheatre ledges.  No open flame is allowed within 6 feet of the building.
  • Confetti, glitter and rice are not allowed inside or out.  Birdseed and bubbles are allowed outside only.
  • Flower arranging is not allowed in the museum and no live flowers are allowed in any of the galleries.  All flowers used in the ceremony, for decoration and/or centerpieces must be completely arranged prior to entering the museum.
  • Fog machines and pyrotechnics are not permitted.

Are we allowed to bring in our own alcoholic beverages & bartender?

Any and all alcoholic beverages must be purchased through the chosen caterer and that caterer must provide any and all servers of alcohol.  There are no exceptions to this policy.  Museum and/or catering staff reserve the right to refuse alcohol to anyone at any time.

Is the rental price different if you have just a wedding ceremony as opposed to both the wedding ceremony and reception at Behringer-Crawford Museum?

Yes.  We understand that each event (wedding, wedding reception, wedding rehearsal dinner, party, corporate event) takes a different amount of time for set up, the event and tear down, so we have arranged our rates around the area being utilized, as well as the approximate hours each event requires to complete.  Our rate list has each event broken down for your convenience.
