Relive the Magic of Johnny’s Toys with Filmmaker Cam Miller
NKY History Hour, Tuesday, Oct. 29, 6:30 p.m.
Johnny's Toys was more than a toy store—it was a magical destination where imagination came to life. For many children, no birthday was complete without a trip to the store's treasure-filled Birthday Castle. Each year, children anxiously waited for a shiny gold key to arrive in their mailbox during their birthday month. That key unlocked a magical castle where they could choose a mystery gift wrapped in Johnny's signature red and white paper.
Sadly the store's remaining location in Latonia, KY closed in 2009. Now, Cam Miller is bringing this beloved piece of local history back to life through his nostalgic documentary, The Magical World of Johnny's Toys. Join Miller as he shares the heartwarming story behind Johnny's Toys, including behind-the-scenes stories from his upcoming film, during the virtual NKY History Hour presentation, The Magical World of Johnny's Toys - Discussion on the upcoming film by Cam Miller, Tuesday, Oct. 29, at 6:30 p.m.

Miller's documentary film will premiere this holiday season at The Roost Coffee Shop in Latonia, KY, the Covington neighborhood where Johnny's Toys first began.
