Children’s Fossil Hunt

Children love playing in the dirt, so bring them by Behringer-Crawford Museum for a fossil hunt to play and learn! Children have the opportunity to dig in the dirt and find fossils to learn about history through pieces found underground. Children’s Archaeology Program

Are you a scout leader looking to earn an Outdoor Badge, or a teacher whose students need some active learning outside the classroom? Then Behringer-Crawford Museum has an exciting way to get the children involved in learning and experiencing history firsthand through their very own archaeological dig! Children have the opportunity to come dig in the dirt and find artifacts from years passed that link them to the history and culture of the area. What better way to learn about ancestors than a dig into the past and look at the pieces found!? Children will love this opportunity to learn and be guided through the steps and learning games associated with archaeology. This program is currently only available in the classroom.
